Stackpath is coming out of stealth with a massive $180 million in funding. The company claims to be a security-as-a-service platform. Stackpath claims to have more than 30,000 customers for its service.

StackPath engine claims to be an unified and comprehensive security platform comprising of a suite of mission-critical security web services. The platform claims to collate and leverage information that each service gathers via a machine learning engine that becomes smarter and more threat-aware with each recorded event.

Stackpath’s chairman and CEO, Lance Crosby, has a great pedigree having founded and sold SoftLayer to IBM previously.

According to a company statement by company CEO Mr. Crosby: “The Internet is where the world does business. It may be the single most important utility supporting businesses today, yet we continue to overtax the ageing infrastructure and struggle to make it secure,”
