CIOPages

Company backgrounder

CIOPages (https://www.ciopages.com) is an independent publication and research site for CIOs, CTOs, enterprise architects and the people who work for them. It covers how enterprise technology is chosen, bought, run and paid for.

What CIOPages publishes

  • Deep Dives: a monthly research report on a question technology leaders are debating, built from company filings and public data. Each one publishes its charts, data and method. New reports appear on the 1st of each month.
  • CIOnomics: data stories on the technology economy, built from government and public data, across 13 running storylines such as tech jobs, software prices, AI adoption and data centers.
  • Buyer's guides: 173 live guides to enterprise technology categories, with evaluation criteria and vendor coverage.
  • A vendor directory of 1,700+ enterprise technology vendors.
  • 208 published articles on technology strategy, operations, architecture, security, data and AI.
  • 73 free tools: calculators, assessments and checklists for budgets, cloud costs, AI projects and vendor selection.
  • RFP question sets and requirements workbooks for running technology evaluations.
  • The Throughline, a monthly newsletter for technology leaders.

Who it is for

Chief information officers, chief technology officers, enterprise architects, technology vice presidents and directors, and the consultants who advise them, mostly at mid-market and large organizations.

Why it exists

Technology leaders decide how large budgets are spent, and much of what they read about technology is written or paid for by the companies selling it.

CIOPages research cites primary sources: company filings, government statistics and vendors' own documentation. It publishes its data and method so readers can check the work, and it says what its findings do not show.

Editorial independence

  • Articles, research and analysis are written without vendor sponsorship or affiliate arrangements.
  • CIOPages sells labeled Spotlight listings beside its buyer's guides, never inside the analysis. Guest articles run, labeled, in the Executive Forum, a paid membership section kept separate from editorial coverage. Neither buys a place in a guide or editorial coverage.
  • Corrections are free and accepted from anyone. Send the URL, the error and a source that can be checked.
  • The editorial policy is public: https://www.ciopages.com/editorial-policy

How it is funded

Labeled Spotlight listings beside buyer's guides, Executive Forum memberships, digital products such as RFP question sets and frameworks, and subscriptions to its AI tools for technology leaders.
