What everything costs

Two things are for sale: a place on a Buyer Guide, and a byline in the Executive Forum. Both are annual, both are reviewed by an editor before anything is charged, and both are on this page in full.

Buyer Guide placements

Your company on the guide where CIOs are comparing your category. We cap each guide at 5 Spotlight cards and one Featured Vendor, and the cap does not move.

Directory & Buyer Guides
Being listedFree, alwaysWe compile the Directory ourselves. Corrections are free too, for anyone, whether or not you pay us.
Your first guide$399 / yearA Spotlight card on the guide you pick, and the listing becomes yours: edit it, add your logo, link to your site, and buyer inquiries come to you.
Each additional guide$199 / guide / yearHalf the first. Same card, another guide, one renewal date. 5 Spotlight slots per guide.
Featured Vendor$699 / guide / yearThe one exclusive band above the Spotlight cards, carrying a document readers can request. One price per guide, with the claimed listing included. Arranged by conversation.

Annual, and nothing is charged until an editor approves the submission. If we change a price, it applies to new purchases: an existing subscription keeps its own rate, and we give at least 30 days' notice by email before any change affects a renewal.

What it looks like on a guide

Taken from the real pages. The companies are invented — SuperDuper IT Co and the rest are examples, not customers.

A Featured Vendor band on a Buyer Guide: one company, full width, with its logo, a summary line, a downloadable document and a link to its own site, labeled as a paid placement.
Featured VendorOne company per guide, in a band of its own above the Spotlight cards. Carries a document a reader can request, which reaches you as a named lead.
A row of Spotlight cards on a Buyer Guide, each with a company logo, name and summary line, labeled as paid placements and set apart from the editorial analysis.
Spotlight cardsUp to five companies per guide, labeled and set apart from the analysis. Each card carries your logo and links to your own site.

What the price does and doesn’t buy

We sell a place on the guide and a listing you control. We don't sell leads, traffic, rankings, or a place in the guide's analysis.

Every paid placement is labeled as one and sits outside the analysis. Links on paid placements are marked as advertising, which is what search engines require. What we do promise: every inquiry and every document request reaches you in full, with the buyer’s name, title, company and work email. How paid placements work · Directory Terms

The CIOPages Executive Forum

A different thing entirely, for a different buyer: senior leaders writing under their own byline, in a section separate from our editorial coverage. Every piece is labeled a paid guest contribution. Applying is free and we authorize your card without collecting it — we charge only if an editor accepts you.

Up to 6 published articles in a membership year. Membership buys review and a byline. It does not buy a place in a Buyer Guide, a change to a Directory record, or editorial coverage of your product.
