Dialpad

AI is the architecture rather than a feature bolted on: built around its own speech models in DialpadGPT, with real-time transcription, live coaching, automatic recaps, and AI scorecards woven through both Dialpad Connect and its Ai contact center, on a clean, fast user experience and recognition in Gartner’s 2025 Voice-of-the-Customer reports for both UCaaS and CCaaS. The enterprise footprint, partner ecosystem, and device range are smaller than the incumbents’, international PSTN coverage and the deepest carrier-grade telephony features trail RingCentral and 8x8, and it is a communications platform rather than a productivity suite, so collaboration breadth is narrower.

RingCentral

Voice-first buyers shortlist it because the cloud-PBX and global-PSTN depth is among the deepest available: RingEX carries broad international number coverage and porting, a tightly integrated RingCX contact center plus a lightweight contact-center bundle for queues and shared inboxes, an open developer platform with wide CRM and app integrations, and RingSense AI across calls and meetings. Document collaboration and persistent chat are thinner than Teams or Google, so it complements rather than replaces a productivity suite. The meeting experience is solid but not the reason buyers choose it, and brand recognition trails Microsoft and Zoom in the enterprise.
