From the Data Privacy & Consent Management Buyer's Guide, updated June 2026. 8 vendors evaluated.
OneTrust
The broadest privacy-operations suite here, and the default when one platform has to run the whole program: consent and preference management, DSR automation, PIA and DPIA assessments, RoPA, and vendor and third-party risk, backed by the market’s largest regulation and template library and a deep partner ecosystem, now extended into data discovery and classification and a dedicated AI-governance module that inventories and assesses AI systems — a single trust platform rather than point tools, and a Leader in the IDC MarketScape for data privacy compliance software. Breadth comes with weight: implementations are effort-intensive, the platform can feel over-built for a focused consent-or-DSR need, and premium pricing reflects the full suite. It is founder-led and independent but reportedly in private-equity sale talks, so confirm roadmap and pricing continuity directly, and note that discovery, while real, is newer than the discovery-native rivals at the deepest, messiest data sources.
Ketch
A consent-and-permissioning specialist rather than a privacy suite, and that focus is the value: built server-side from the ground up, it propagates consent and preference signals in real time across CDPs, tag managers, ad pipelines, and downstream systems, with deep native support for GPC, IAB TCF, and Google Consent Mode as a certified Google CMP partner, plus progressive and dynamic consent for age-gating and emerging litigation risks. It is strongest where consent is a revenue-and-marketing concern, not just compliance. Enterprise-wide discovery, full DSR and RoPA suites, and assessments are not its center of gravity, so broader privacy programs typically pair it with another platform.
