It won't distinguish log-based change data capture, which barely touches the source system, from query-based polling, which can degrade a production database under load. And it won't flag that transformation logic written in a vendor's proprietary scripting layer — not SQL, not Python — becomes expensive to unwind if you switch tools later, or that regulated data needs column-level lineage, not a vague "data governance" checkbox.
