How to Interpret Your Scorecard
🏆
Score ≥ 4.0 — Strong fit
A weighted score of 4.0 or above indicates the vendor meets or exceeds requirements across most criteria. Proceed to reference checks and contract negotiation.
✅
Score 3.0–3.9 — Acceptable fit
Solid overall but with notable gaps. Identify which criteria are below expectations and negotiate improvements or workarounds before contracting.
⚠️
Score 2.0–2.9 — Marginal fit
Significant gaps exist. Only proceed if the vendor has a credible roadmap to address shortfalls within your implementation timeline.
❌
Score < 2.0 — Poor fit
This vendor does not meet your requirements. Eliminate from consideration or revisit if your requirements change significantly.
