Pipedrive

Reps keep it current, which is more than most CRMs can claim: a sales-first tool built around a visual, activity-based pipeline, with the fastest deployment and highest day-one adoption of any major option, and AI sales-assistant features available across plans rather than gated behind a tier. It is intentionally narrow — light on marketing, service, and deep enterprise customization — reporting and governance are basic next to the suites, and outgrowing it is common as needs broaden beyond the pipeline.

Salesforce

The most configurable enterprise platform with the broadest footprint — Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, Data Cloud, and industry clouds for financial services, health, and manufacturing — behind the deepest AppExchange and SI ecosystem, with Agentforce pushing hardest on autonomous agents grounded in Data Cloud. Configurability is also the liability: it invites over-customization and a real admin burden, and skilled-admin scarcity is genuine. Pricing is premium and the true cost includes SI fees plus marketplace apps, and the agent consumption model — credits, per-conversation — adds a new cost line on top of seats that is harder to forecast than the seats were.
