| Attribute | Salesforce | Zoho CRM |
|---|---|---|
| Approach | Enterprise Suite | Value Suite |
| Best for | Large, complex sales and service organizations that need maximum configurability and the widest ecosystem — and can staff the administration | Cost-conscious SMB and mid-market teams wanting broad suite coverage, bundled AI, and data-residency control |
From the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) Buyer's Guide, updated June 2026. 10 vendors evaluated.
Salesforce
The most configurable enterprise platform with the broadest footprint — Sales, Service, Marketing, Commerce, Data Cloud, and industry clouds for financial services, health, and manufacturing — behind the deepest AppExchange and SI ecosystem, with Agentforce pushing hardest on autonomous agents grounded in Data Cloud. Configurability is also the liability: it invites over-customization and a real admin burden, and skilled-admin scarcity is genuine. Pricing is premium and the true cost includes SI fees plus marketplace apps, and the agent consumption model — credits, per-conversation — adds a new cost line on top of seats that is harder to forecast than the seats were.
Zoho CRM
Exceptional breadth for the price, and the pricing model is the point: the Zoho One suite spans dozens of apps, the Zia AI assistant is bundled into mainstream tiers rather than sold purely as an add-on, and CRM for Everyone brings non-sales teams into the same system, with regional data centers and proprietary models giving meaningful data-residency and privacy control. Enterprise brand recognition and the large-SI bench are thinner, support experience varies, the sheer breadth means some apps are merely good rather than best-in-class, and the advanced capabilities sit in higher tiers.
