About bootc

bootc builds operating systems using containerization principles. It provides transactional, in-place operating system updates using OCI/Docker container images. The container image includes a Linux kernel used to boot the system. At runtime, the base userspace is not itself running in a container by default. The bootc CLI is a client system and is not tied to any particular operating system or Linux distribution.
