About SDC

SDC provides a schema-driven, declarative and idempotent method for interacting with API systems. The project consists of four components. It supports schemas such as YANG. It targets physical devices, containers, and virtual machines. It is described as vendor agnostic.

Products

Data-server: An intermediary connecting the config-server, schema-server, cache, and xNF/Device in a stateless design.
Cache: Manages multiple datastores, including Config, State, and Intended, along with Intent metadata.

Used for

Loading and unloading schemas in real time.
Querying schemas via a GRPC API.
Discovering devices or network functions.
Validating configurations and rejecting those that fail validation.
