About WSUS (Microsoft)
WSUS provides a way for IT administrators to deploy the latest Microsoft product updates. It can be used to fully manage the distribution of updates released through Microsoft Update to computers on a network. A WSUS server provides features to manage and distribute updates through a management console. A WSUS server can also serve as the update source for other WSUS servers within the organization, acting as an upstream server. WSUS is deprecated and no longer receives new features, but continues to be supported for production deployments with security and quality updates.
