How the Zero Trust Maturity Assessment works
You answer 18 questions, 3 in each of 6 pillars: Identity, Devices, Networks, Applications, Data, and Visibility & Analytics. Questions cover topics such as MFA coverage, privileged access, micro-segmentation, ZTNA, data loss prevention and SIEM coverage.
Each question has 4 answers, scored 0 to 3. The lowest answer is no control in place. The highest is full coverage.
A pillar's score is the average of its answered questions. The overall score is the average of the 6 pillar scores, so an unanswered pillar counts as 0. Scores are multiplied by 33.3 to show out of 100. Results open once you have answered at least 9 questions.
Reading your results
The overall level uses the 0 to 3 average. Below 2.0 is Traditional. From 2.0 to below 2.5 is Initial. From 2.5 to below 3.0 is Advanced. A full 3.0 is Optimal.
On the 100-point display, Traditional covers everything below about 67. Optimal requires the top answer on every answered question in all 6 pillars.
The radar chart plots the 6 pillars out of 100. Pillar bars are green at 66 or above, amber from 33, and red below 33.
Priority Focus Areas names your 2 lowest-scoring pillars, with each pillar's score and description.
