3 questions from the package
From the RFI round. The first shows part of the guide each question carries; the workbook adds follow-ups, how to verify the answer, a priority and a weight.
1. Can your general ledger record one source transaction in parallel ledgers that follow different accounting principles, for example [local accounting principle] and [group accounting principle]?
Why it matters. Without parallel ledgers, the buyer has to keep adjustments between accounting principles in spreadsheets or a separate system. The audit trail from source document to each set of books then breaks.
Good answer
- One posting of a source document creates entries in every assigned ledger at the same time
- Adjustment entries can be posted to one ledger only, without affecting the others
- Standard financial statements can be run for each ledger separately
Red flags
- The second set of books is a copy filled by a batch job or by manual re-entry
- Each accounting principle needs its own legal entity or company code
- Differences between principles are handled only in a reporting layer, not as ledger postings
2. Can one legal entity belong to more than one consolidation hierarchy at the same time, for example a legal ownership hierarchy and a management reporting hierarchy?
Why it matters. Groups often report statutory results by legal ownership and management results by segment or region. If an entity can sit in only one hierarchy, the buyer ends up keeping the second structure in spreadsheets or creating duplicate entities that have to be reconciled every close.
3. For each of [country of operation], state whether your product delivers each of these as standard localization content, through a partner add-on, or not at all: indirect tax determination, withholding tax, and statutory financial and tax reports.
Why it matters. Every gap in a country's localization becomes a custom build or a third-party add-on that the buyer must fund and maintain through each update. Gaps found after selection change the implementation budget and timeline.

Questions about this package
How many Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) RFP questions are there?
125 solution questions in 12 capability areas: 24 for the RFI, 65 for the RFP and 36 deep-dive questions for the finalists. The workbook adds 70 due-diligence questions on security, integration, implementation and exit.
What comes with each question?
Why it matters, good-answer signals, red flags, follow-up questions, how to verify the answer (a demo step, a test or a document), and a suggested priority and weight for scoring.
Can I edit the questions?
Yes. The workbook is an ordinary Excel file. Change, add or remove questions, and change the weights; the scorecard recalculates.
Which license do I need?
The Enterprise License covers any number of evaluations inside one organization. The Consultancy License covers use with any number of clients. Neither allows reselling or republishing the questions.
