About Velero

Velero is an open source tool to safely backup and restore Kubernetes cluster resources and persistent volumes. It performs disaster recovery and migration of Kubernetes clusters. It enables cluster portability by migrating Kubernetes resources from one cluster to another. It offers data protection features such as scheduled backups, retention schedules, and pre or post-backup hooks. Velero is released as open source software with community support through its GitHub project page.

• Scheduling backups to automatically kick off at recurring intervals.
