Agent access

Datadog MCP Server, a remote server generally available since March 9, 2026. Admins can turn it off for the whole organization with the MCP Access setting. It is not available on Datadog's GovCloud sites. The server does not send Datadog data to a third-party AI provider; the customer's AI client does. source, source 2, source 3, source 4, source 5 · checked October 31, 2026

Stage: generally available. Authentication: OAuth 2.0 (recommended), or header-based Personal Access Tokens, Service Access Tokens, or API and application keys. Users need the MCP Read or MCP Write permission, and admins control organization-wide MCP Access and MCP Write Access.

Datadog does not document connecting other MCP servers of the customer's choice to Bits Chat or Bits Investigation, and gives no release stage. source, source 2 · checked October 31, 2026
